Your kids will learn how to tell the time on analog clocks (clocks with hands) by playing with this fun and educational game. The design of this clock makes it super easy for kids to understand hours and minutes.
immediate procurement of purchase via PDF
Four easy steps:
1. Print out the file
2. Laminate (optional)
3. Cut it out
4. You're ready to teach your kids about time!
Rather than simply showing your kids any old clock and trying to explain it, it's best to get them playing along and learning with these games. Your kids will have a lot of fun figuring out how to tell the time using the hour hand and the minute hand.
Game ideas:
- parent introduces the hour hand first, quizzing child on the hour that the hand is placed at
- on another day (or once hour hand is mastered), parent introduces the minute hand
- parent sets a time and child sets the clock to the time
- parent says something like, "It's lunch time!" and child must make the clock time match
- child sets a time and parent reads the time out
- advanced: how many hours have passed - parent shows two different times and child figures out how much time has passed
- and much more, only limited by your imagination!
Files included:
- PDF, four (4) pages
- 300 dpi
- 8.5" x 11" size paper, also suitable for A4 size
Printing:
- please be aware that colors may not be exactly as show due to differences in monitors and printers
- can be printed at home or at your local printing/office supply store
- print and re-print!
- personal use only, no commercial use or resale :)
